Global Location Number (GLN) A Global Location Number (GLN) is a unique 13-digit number used to identify locations, businesses, and other relevant parties within a supply chain. It acts as a globally unique identifier, helping to streamline transactions, automate processes, and improve visibility across the entire supply chain.
In the medicine supply chain, the GLN is  used to identify specific locations, such as legal entities (companies, hospitals), functional entities (departments, delivery points), and physical locations (warehouses, distribution centers).
