Global trade Item Number (GTIN)

Global Trade Item Number (GTIN): A GTIN is a unique identifier for a product, often found beneath barcodes on products worldwide. It’s used to identify any item, online or offline, across various sectors, including medicines and medical devices. They are used to track products as they move through the supply chain, ensuring proper storage, distribution, and dispensing. GTINs, along with batch numbers and expiration dates, enable traceability, allowing for identification of specific products in case of any issues or recalls.
